Neurodiversity-Affirming Speech & Language Therapy for Kids!
Child-Led. Play-Based Learning.
Serving the Salt Lake Valley
Welcome to Heyday Speech & Language Therapy!
Heyday Speech & Language Therapy is committed to providing neurodiversity-affirming therapy services using a child-led, play-based approach that values and honors each child's strengths while providing support and guidance toward authentic and meaningful communication.
Speech and Language Services
Heyday Speech offers comprehensive speech and language evaluations, treatment for a variety of speech and language disorders and delays, and support for neurodivergent children and their families.
Echolalia
Echolalia communicates! Did you know at least 85% of Autistic individuals (and some neurotypicals) process language naturally through gestalt language? Using the Natural Language Acquisition framework, we support kids on their journey to self-generated language!
Sensory Supports for Regulation
Heyday Speech incorporates sensory supports to promote emotional and physical regulation during sessions. We have a climbing wall, trampoline, swing, crash pad, sensory bins, blankets, tent, calm lighting, and other fun items to incorporate into our sessions. Regulation is key when learning new skills!
“Play is our brain's favorite way of learning.”
~ Diane Ackerman

We will schedule your child for an evaluation, if needed, or an intake session to gather information about your child’s strengths, unique abilities, and areas needing supports.
